19. Format database bots
As part of the Database Region Wizard, a function determines whether
to display your query results in a table or in list format.
What you may not know, however, is that when displayed as a list, your
data can be positioned and formatted just like regular text.
Some useful applications include:
-
Positioning data fields anywhere within the Database: Start and Database:
End boundaries. For example, you can create form letters where a sentence
needs to read something like "Dear [FirstName]
[LastName]" and the database results need to be on the same
line or in the same sentence.
-
Applying fonts, colors, and styles to the data fields to display the database
results with custom formatting in a Web browser.
-
Applying dynamic animations via the Format/Animation menu so that
the query results will be animated ("fly in," "spiral," and so on) when
displayed in a Web browser.
